On 19 September 1897 Margaret Emma Younger was born. She was baptised at Birkenhead Holy Trinity on 13 October 1897. Father’s occupation Labourer, abode 31 Taylor Street.

In the 1901 Census taken 31 March, their address is 61 Lord Street. Robert is 45 and a General Labourer. Martha Younger is 44, James David is 19 and an Apprentice Carpenter, Georgina is 18 and a Dressmaker, George is 16 and an Apprentice Carpenter. Flora 13 and David 6 are at school, and Margaret is 3.

In the 1911 Census for Robert and Martha Younger taken 2 April, their address is still 61 Lord Street. Robert is 54 and a Dock Labourer, Martha is 53. James, Georgina and George have left home and married. Flora, 23, is a Manager’s Assistant in a Drapery. David is an Apprentice Joiner at a shipyard, and Margaret is at school.

On 12 April 1919, Robert and Martha’s daughter Margaret Emma Younger married Alfred Mayor, 22, son of James Acken Mayor, at Birkenhead St. Mary.
