On 23 January 1909 Martha May Colwell was born, and she was baptised on 3 March 1909 at Birkenhead St. John. Abode was 26 Collingwood Street, father’s occupation Labourer. Birth date appears in the register of St. John Church of England School, Birkenhead, also in the baptism record.

In 1911 the family were still at 26 Collingwood Street. Frederick Samuel Colwell was a Mond Gas Stoker aged 29 and born in about 1882 in Liverpool. Jane was 27, Mary Jane was 5 and Martha May 2.

No records of marriage or death found so far, but a relative contacted me with more information (thanks!).

She was known as May Colwell, married a Major Sam Bradley and lived in Giffnoc outside Glasgow.. They had a son, Sandy, who emigrated to Canada.
