On 14 February 1903, Ethel Valentine Waller was born To George James and Edith Emma Waller, and baptised on 4 March at Birkenhead St. Peter.
In 1911 the family were living at 14, Park Road, Port Sunlight and George, aged 34, was a Member of the Port Sunlight Fire Watch Brigade. Port Sunlight was built by Lord Lever to house his employees. Edith Emma was 33, Edith Vera 10, Ethel Valentine 8, George Leslie 5 and Bessie Wills 3.
In 1939 George James was still a Fireman, aged 62, and living a short walk from Park Road at 9 Wood Street, both addresses being right opposite Lever Brothers’ premises. Ethel and Bessie were still at home aged 32 and 36 and working at Lever’s.
In June 1940 Ethel Valentine Waller married Frank W. Davies, registered in the Wirral.
In Q1 1944 she gave birth to Marjorie Davies.
In Q4 1958 the death of Frank W. Davies was registered in the Wirral.
There are several possible marriages for Marjorie, but only one in Birkenhead. This was in Q3 1967 to Frederick H. Riley.
In Q3 2000 the death of Ethel Valentine Davies was registered in Birkenhead. It gave her date of birth as 14 February 1903. Hence her middle name.
