In 1905 George Leslie Waller was born to George James and Edith Emma Waller. and baptised on 12 September 1906 at Birkenhead Holy Trinity. His birth was registered in Birkenhead in Q3 1905.

In 1911 the family were living at 14, Park Road, Port Sunlight and George James, aged 34, was a Member of the Port Sunlight Fire Watch Brigade. Edith Emma was 33, Edith Vera 10, Ethel Valentine 8, George Leslie 5 and Bessie Wills 3.

A George L. Waller married a Bertha Powell in 1931 Q1 in the Wirral (Familysearch says George, the G.R.O. and FreeBMD say George L.). No death of Bertha Waller recorded, perhaps they divorced?

In the 1939 register, George L. Waller (mis-spelled as Walles) is living at 266 Conway Street:
George L. Waller born 1st June 1905, Married, Despatcher Shipping Dept. Age 34.
Edna M. Waller Age 24, born 24th April 1915 (Actually 1914, the 1939 register has a lot of birth years which are one year out), Married, Unpaid Domestic Duties. Names Bugden Cheers and Cama added (i.e. husbands).
Leslie J. Waller, Male, born 6th February 1937, under school age.

There are three closed records. These would be:

Edith V. Waller born 1938 Q1 in Birkenhead, mother Goldstone.
Christened 12 February 1939 as Edith Vera Waller (same Christian names as George’s sister who died in 1937), spouse Edna May, St. Peter Birkenhead.

Raymond K Waller born 1939 Q3 in Birkenhead, mother Goldstone.
Christened 5 November 1939 as Raymond Keith Waller, spouse Edna May, St. Peter Birkenhead.

Terasina Theresa Cama born 1934 (birth register says Terasina T. , the G.R.O. record says Terasina Theresa).

So Bertha is out of the picture, and he has married Edna May, who had a child Terasina T Cama from her previous marriage. They appear to have had three children together; Leslie J. Waller born 1937, Edith Vera Waller born 1938 and Raymond Keith Waller born 1939, although the absence of a birth record for Leslie J. is strange.

There is no record of George marrying an Edna May Goldstone, and in any event she would have been Edna May Cama. They would probably have married sometime between 1934 and early 1936, Leslie J. being born in February 1937.

There is a marriage between Joseph Cama and Edna M. Goldstone in 1933 Q3, she would have been 18. Terasina T Cama was born in 1934. A second child, Estella Benita Cama (Edna had a sister, Linda Estella), was christened on 14 August 1935, parents Joseph Cama and Edna. Birth registered 1935, mother Goldstone. Death registered Q2 1936.

There is no trace of the birth of Leslie J. Waller on 6 February 1937. Presumably he was known to be deceased at the time the 1939 register was reviewed, as his record is open, although no death record found.

There are duplicated birth records in the names of Edith V. Cama and Raymond K. Cama, these would be correct as she was Edna M. Cama when she married George.

Whether due to death of (no trace), or divorce from, George, Edna Waller married Ernest E Bugden in 1942 in Birkenhead. There are 2 further register entries for the same marriage, as Edna M. Cama and Edna M. Goldstone.

She married again in Gosport in 1964, as Edna M. Bugden, to Wilfred R Cheers.

Raymond K P Waller (initial P not previously known) marries twice in Hampshire. Just for fun, he first marries a Martin R Claridge! Possibly Martina? Then he marries Audrey Riley.

Edith Vera Waller also marries in Hampshire.

George Leslie Waller possibly has died between 1939 and 1942, but there is no record of it.

His son Leslie J. Waller is also nowhere to be found after the 1939 register.
